The 5th Annual Captain Andrew R. Houghton Memorial "Drive On" Golf Tournament held on May 18, 2009 at Tour 18 Golf Course in Humble, Texas was a huge success. The weather was picture perfect – sunny, uncharacteristically cool with relatively low humidity. Everyone enjoyed themselves. There were many new players this year as well many players that returned for their fifth Drive-On Tournament.
Retired Lieutenant General Robert Clark was the keynote speaker at the dinner immediately after the tournament. General Clark shared personal anecdotes he gathered about Andy from Andy's classmates, friends and soldiers that served with Andy.
This year's silent auction included a variety of autographed sports memorabilia, autographed books, a Aloette Spa Basket donated by Pam Waddell and West Point Carry Cooler filled with West Point sporting items.

I wish I had words to offer that would bring healing for Andy and comfort for his family - but my mind just keeps thinking of Psalm 20:7 'Some nations boast of their armies and weapons, but we boast in the Lord our God.' Andy, thank you for your service - thank you for your sacrifice. There is a country of men, women, and children who now have a chance to know the word Freedom because you brought them HOPE. My prayers will be for you tonight, Andy. Hoo-rah! To Andy's family and friends - all my respect.
